Our Services

Chiropractic

Chiropractic care focuses on restoring and maintaining the health of your joints, muscles and nerves. This is typically done through the use of an adjustment. An adjustment can restore normal movement, relieve pain and stimulate higher function of your brain and nervous system.

Many people think that chiropractors can only help with spinal injuries, however, this is not the case! Chiropractors can treat any area of the body with a variety of different techniques!

Massage

Therapists use a variety of techniques to address soft tissue problems. Gentle kneading and stretching lengthens contracted, injured muscles and fascia. Painful injuries (strains/sprains) can be addressed directly with massage techniques that improve circulation and stimulate healthy realignment of muscle fibres.

Couples Massage

Jade Stone

This deeply relaxing massage incorporates heating and/or cooled jade stones that are placed on the body and used for massage. These stones have been cut to various shapes/sizes and then polished to provide a very smooth and silky feeling on the skin.

Alternating temps are used to increase circulation, strengthen the immune system and assist in improving sleep.

Indie Head

The head, neck and shoulders are the most commonly injured areas of the body. Tension accumulates in these areas, resulting in a stiff neck, aching shoulders, eye strain, headaches, jaw pain, and insomnia. Indie Head Massage uses a firm rhythm to help unknot blockages and release built up tension/stress. Traditionally, oil is applied to hair, but it is not mandatory.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the stimulation of specific points along the body using thin needles.
Electroacupuncture is a form of acupuncture that involves passing a small electric current between pairs of needles. This augments the use of regular acupuncture, restores health and well-being and has been shown to be particularly useful to treat pain.

Orthotics

The average person takes 10,000 steps/day. If you have an abnormality in your feet, your pelvis may not be level, causing pain in your feet, ankles, knees, hips and/or low back. Anyone who wears a shoe and walks can benefit from a custom made orthotic. Orthotics can address subtle differences in your feet. These slight differences over time could add up to pain and compensation in your body. You may not even realize how bad you feel when walking until the issues are corrected.

Bracing

Patients will often ask about the appropriateness of a brace for their injury. There are a lot of factors to consider when deciding to brace or not to brace. And, if so, which brace, when to brace, and how long to brace for. Chiropractors are trained extensively in muscle testing and functional testing, allowing us to decipher if an imbalance or weakness exists. Braces are helpful and effective to decrease the demand on injured joints and muscles when certain activities cannot be avoided.

Overall, braces can be useful to the rehabilitative process for most injuries when used appropriately at the right time and duration. Proper assessment and treatment - including strengthening and stabilizing the muscle and joint - led by a Chiropractor is required to regain proper function and ultimately diminish or omit the need for bracing.

Compression Socks

We carry compression stockings, compression pantyhose and compression socks for both men and women in various colours, styles, materials and compression levels. Compressing the legs allows increased circulation and blood flow, and prevents pooling of blood in the veins. Compression stockings are recommended for:

  • people who are on their feet for a large part of the day
  • athletes
  • people over 40 years of age
  • people that experience swelling or aching in their legs
  • people with varicose veins.

Each patient is measured at various levels in the ankle, leg and thigh to provide the most comfortable fit, while ensuring the maximal benefit.
